It has been awhile since I have talked with you. A friend reminded me today, so I am getting right at it!!
The season has passed fast for me. As my hubby (or as I like to say) my starter husband, has been healing his fractured back and I have had lots of exercise in lifting, pulling, pushing, digging, reaching and bending. You get the idea. Keep your back strong and healthly, it will change your life style.
About April 2011, I started to lose my intense desire to pack up and sit a day or two at a craft show or bazaar. I'd been there and done that! So I have been working on my own marketing. I have found a couple places in the area that have been successful for me. Karen's Kitchen and Art Gallery by the Bay.
I have a very special, large rope bowl entered at the Gallery. Open House is this Friday, the 7th from 6pm to 9pm. Come one, come all. See you there.
Once I cleared off my dining room table, it looked soooooo good, that I decided to try to keep it cleaned off and started to work back in the work shop. The lathe was my focus and I went at it with both barrels. I have worked on the lathe for over 12 years, but not recently so hubby reviewed what I needed to know and away I went. I have big plans and with more tools coming this week, that is where I will be found.
I am still knitting baby caps for my son's patients and am over 300 in that number. I am finding fun and crazy patterns that the new moms do like. It keeps me interested. I cannot sit still and not do something with my hands and knitting fits the bill. It was a childhood thing dictated by my mother, all of us 7 have it very deeply instilled.
I also have lost a bit of weight, without being stretched 6 inches taller, lowered all my numbers in my blood test. So that is another job I have been working on. I basically gave up white sugar and white flour. It takes three weeks for your body to rid itself of sugar and then it is easy. ( I cheat with one bite ever so often.)
If you like Good veggies, give my friend and faux sister, via Freshly Doug Vegetables, a look. Those of you who don't like beets, hers will make you a believer. I eat them hot or cold and go with everything. In scrambled eggs is my latest combo. She also has super kinds of squash.
I tried to attach a photo or two but I have forgotten how. Let me know if you want to see my products, I do have a bunch.
I will try to keep you posted. So Live,Love and Laugh.
